United Healthcare CEO Murdered

I don’t think he deserved to be gunned down.

This seems like a pretty unpopular opinion. Most of the folks in my bubble are reacting with ‘good riddance’ vibes. I get it. He ran an organization that profited by making it hard (or impossible) for people to get healthcare. The funny cartoon out of this says: He died doing what he loved: Not getting necessary medical care in a timely manner. So there seems to be some schadenfreude.

Many folks are making class war jokes. I haven’t really looked into the similarities between pre-revolution France and the U. S. right now. From my very privileged (and thus biased) position – things are pretty fucked up, but not that fucked up.

Maybe they are? How many attempts were there on Trump in the last 6 months? 3?

Regardless – I hope we aren’t at the point of vigilante justice or violent social revolution. And in that world, the CEO is fired, the business goes bankrupt, or is sued into the ground. Seems like neither is the case…
