A litany of complaints

This (long distance bike pack racing) is not a great way to feel comfortable, I don’t suppose that’s much news. Regardless, here’s the list, toe to head:

  • Scratches & Slashes on my calves. Two are notable.
  • Left knee hurts, looks like a bruise near the joint
  • My butt hurts. A lot.
  • Stomach upset often
  • I haven’t had a bloody nose, but I’ve been close
  • Left hand is numb when I ride, it goes away after.
  • Right hand is numb at the ring finger all the time
  • Occasional dizzys, frequently tired.

No sunburn, no allergies, no bug bites. All in all, better than it could be.

If you could magically fix one of these, which one? I’m guessing the sore butt. Which, a day off might do? Perhaps not in Pie Town though.

My guess: heat and elevation are causing some of the symptoms. So impressed by you Dave! Keep at it!
