GDMBR 2024 – All This is my ‘fit to publish’ gallery. Not much editing, but you get to see pretty much everything I’ve taken a photo of.

June 12 was a big, big day. 3:00 AM – me & the bike to SeaTac airport 5:20 AM – take off for Phoenix -> El Paso Noonish: meet two strangers at the airport (El Jefe & Jeff Sharp) 4:00 Pm – Walmart for supplies & then Hachita, plus meeting stranger #3 Eric, plus bike…

Another 75 mile day, but this one with a major pass – only 4300 feet of evelvation, but it goes right over an 11,400 foot pass.

How do you move? Bike – pedals, cranks, chain, cassette, wheels and tires. Check. How do you stop? Brakes & pads – check. How do you stay dry in the rain? Jacket, pants, shoe covers – check How do you stay warm in the cold? Senchi, alpha socks, capilene & pants, down jacket & shell.…

That’s pretty much the main direction for me: what ever I’m thinking, pick the simpler option or do less. I think I will need to ride more at night, so – bright headlight, right? I mean maybe but many many people have done this with the very nice handlebar lamp I have. So no. Simpler.…
